India’s quest for an Olympic medal in Mixed Team Archery at the Paris 2024 Olympics came to an end after Dhiraj and Ankita took two back-to-back defeats. The Indian team lost to the South Korean team in the semis. South Korea went on and defeated Germany to win Gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Dhiraj and Ankita’s performance in the quarterfinals was exceptional which secured a place in the semis. Where they were up against South Korea’s Lim and Kim. In another semifinal, Germany’s Michelle and Florian faced US pair Brady and Casey. The Germans defeated the Americans 5-3 (on a points basis) while India lost to South Korea 6-2 (on a points basis). For the bronze medal India faced America, Indian archers managed to win only one round out of four resulting in defeat. India’s loss meant the Indian team ended up in fourth place and the American team clinched the bronze medal.
