PV Sindhu Dominates in Paris: Effortlessly Wins Opening Match at 2024 Olympics

The flag bearer for the Indian contingent on the Paris Olympics 2024 PV Sindhu had her first encounter in Women’s Single Badminton against Maldives’ Fathimath Nabaaha.
The Maldivian national who has played in 2020 summer Olympics under a tripartite invitation has only participated in BWF competitions, was against a two times Olympics medalist ( Silver Medal in Women’s Singles in 2016 Rio Olympics and Bronze Medal in Women’s Singles in 2020 Tokyo Olympics). Fathimath Nabaaha sure had it tough since it was her only 2nd Olympics appearance. On the other hand PV Sindhu made it look very easy by winning 1st set 21-9. The second set wasn’t  any different Sindhu won it 21-6 making Fathimath Nabaaha score even lesser points from before.
It was a piece of cake for PV Sindhu to bag a victory against Fathimath Nabaaha but she has a long way to go as it’s just a start. As a two times Olympics medalist she has huge expectations from the Indian fans to see her name in the medal tally at Paris Olympics 2024 as well.
