30th July couldn’t get any better for India as Manu Bhaker won Bronze in 10M Air Pistol Mixed Doubles along with Sarabjot Singh. This is India’s second medal at 2024 Paris Olympics. While Manu Bhaker became first Indian athlete to win two medals at single edition of the Olympics.
Bhaker and Sarbjot were against Korea’s Lee W and Oh Yj for the third place. In the 13 round game South Korean’s scored 2 points in the first round but Bhaker/Sarbjot won consecutive four rounds dominating the game. The South Korean’s did try to fight back winning a few rounds after words but it wasn’t going to turn into a win. Bhaker/Sarbjot won total 8 rounds while Lee/Oh managed to win 5 rounds resulting Bhaker/Sarbjot won the Bronze medal16-10. Bahker/Sarbjot came out victorious bagging India’s second medal at 2024 Paris Olympics.
Manu became first Indian athlete to win two medals at single edition of the Olympics bringing her individual as well as India’s
medal tally to 2 at 2024 Paris Olympics. Manu is definatly going to be an inspiration to millions of aspiring athletes especially
female athletes in India. Manu’s performance in 10M Air Pistol Women’s and Mixed Doubles definatly lifts the hopes up for India
as 25M Air Pistol events will be starting from August 1st. Let’s hope Manu keeps her winning streak and brigs success in upcoming event as well.
