Indian Duo Shetty and Rankireddy Dominate to Secure Quarterfinal Spot in Paris Olympics

In Badminton Men’s Doubles at 2024 Paris Olympics India’s C Shetty and S Rankireddy played their 2nd match against Indonesian pair M.R. Ardianto and F. Alfian on 30th July.
In group Shetty/Rankireddy defeated Indonesia’s Ardianto/Alfian. Both teams played their 2nd match in group C. The Indian pair won the match 21-13, 21-13 winning consecutive sets. Shetty/Rankireddy kept their winning streak alive and secured their position in the quater finals. After winning both the matches Shetty/Rankireddy finished on the top in the group C. The Indonesian pair in the first set was trailing closely making it look like a close competition but the Indian pair definitely came out as the best winning both sets by a huge margin.
The Indonesian pair did receive a crushing defeat from the Indian pair, still managed to advance into the quarter finals finishing second in the group. The competition’s definitely going to get tougher and tougher from here onwards. Shetty/ Rankireddy will definitely keep India’s hope alive in Badminton at 2024 Paris Olympics.
